during November 30 – December 1, 2016, as the kick-off symposium of JSPS Core-to-Core Program,
which promotes the collaboration of Osaka University titled with “Advanced Nanophotonics in the
Emerging Fields of Nano-imaging, Spectroscopy, Nonliner Optics, Plasmonics/Metamaterials and Devices”
Many researchers and students from partner institutions in other 10 countries (China, Taiwan,
Singapore, Philippines, South Korea, India, Australia, UK, USA and Hong Kong) got together in Osaka with
exchanging their latest research and discussing about the further promotion of the program.
For this two-day symposium, we had a total number of 115 participants that included researchers and
students with 22 oral presentations and 58 poster presentations.
We believe that the symposium provided wide-ranging discussion with enthusiastic atmosphere and the
significant opportunity to know their field each other further.
